Tia Cole

Owner - Executive, Leadership, Education, & Organizational Leadership

 

Tia Cole is the founder and CEO of The Cole Lab, LLC who has devoted her life to developing people and programs. Thus, The Cole Lab is committed to being your development destination.

Tia Cole is an experienced educator of nearly 20 years who has been a college instructor for more than 10 years. Her passions are for empowering others through education, promoting critical thinking, independence, growth, leadership, and life-long learning.

Tia became a John Maxwell certified trainer, speaker, and coach in March of 2019 and currently serves several clients as a personal and professional coach. Tia specializes in group and team development, strategic visioning and planning, strategic operationalization, and equity and inclusion. She will help you put your vision into words then into action both individually and for your team. 

In addition to facilitating leadership and goal achievement workshops across the country, The Cole Lab has also written curriculum for women’s empowerment training and educational programs that have been launched in schools and organizations across several states.

Tia has served on the executive board of BRIDGE Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation, and Ladder Alliance. She currently serves as Education Committee Chair of the Arlington NAACP.

The Cole Lab won the Reginald Gates Business Award for Outstanding Business and Community Contributions to Fort Worth and Texas as a whole which was awarded by the Texas Association of African American Chambers of Commerce in 2018. The Cole Lab also won Small Business of the Year in 2018 awarded by the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce. 

Kim Jackson

Director of Operations - Education, Workforce, Leadership, Equity and Inclusion, & Public Speaking

 

Kim L. Jackson received both her B.A. and her M.A. from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and a Ph.D. in Multicultural and Women and Gender Studies.  

Ms. Jackson has worked as an equity and inclusion practitioner for over 20 years in both a curriculum design and facilitator role in all levels of education and the non-profit sector and has served as a diversity officer. Ms. Jackson has created and designed mentor programs, academic and leadership conferences focused on historically marginalized populations in an effort to promote access, equity, and participation in higher education.  She specializes in active and experiential learning techniques fused with elements visual and performing arts to enhance engagement in crucial and transformative conversations around oppression and core identifiers. Ms. Jackson also conducts workshops on culturally responsive leadership and teaching practices.  She has presented at several conferences including the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE) and Equity and Inclusion Conference at the University of North Texas and the National Conference for Academic Deans at the University of Central Arkansas.

She is a 2013 recipient of a Golden Apple Teaching Award, a 2014 and 2015 recipient of a John and Suanne Roueche Teaching Excellence Award and the 2015 recipient for the Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award at Tarrant County College.  She recently received the Chancellor’s Employee Excellence Award for her participation on an Equity and Inclusion Team for Tarrant County College District.  She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  Ms. Jackson resides in Euless, TX with her husband of 14 years and their 3 sons; Xavier, Marquis and Kavion.  

Deepika Nevill

Career Readiness, Education, Social Media Strategy, & Personal Branding

 

In her current role, Deepika Nevill works as a Career Specialist working in all aspects of Career Planning, Advising and Coaching. 

Deepika was the Women’s Ministry Director for the International Baptist Church in Singapore, specializing in Mission Outreach, Mentor Programs, and ESL program administration and teaching. She formerly worked for non-profit organizations in Shanghai, China, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Mumbai, India, and Cairo, Egypt, concentrating on strategic planning, program management and delivery and ESL teaching and administration.

Before these roles, Deepika forged a successful career in Human Resources for Halliburton Company. She was assigned as the Country HR Manager for Bosnia and Hungary and prior to her time in Eastern Europe she also worked Human Resources in the UK. Deepika acquired in-depth knowledge of Human Resources processes and procedures, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Employee Relations and Diversity and Inclusion.

Deepika holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Geography from Portsmouth University, UK and a Masters in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, US.
